This section contains the latest JobsPlus update for you to download and apply.  These updates will only work for Version 4 of JobsPlus.  If you have a previous version of JobsPlus you will need to upgrade to Version 4.  If you have a previous version, please call us on 1800-777-000 to arrange to upgrade to Version 4 .

Please make sure that you download the correct update(s) for the edition of JobsPlus that you are using.

Summary Upgrade Instructions:

1) Download the correct update(s) for the edition of JobsPlus that you have installed

2) Run the appropriate Update.exe program on each computer as detailed below for single user and multi user.  

Single User:

The JobsPlus Single User update only needs to be run once on the computer that you have the JobsPlus program installed on.  

Multi User:

Run the JobsPlus Multi User Server update only on the computer that you have the Server program installed on.  

Run the JobsPlus Multi User Client update on all of the computers that you have installed the JobsPlus Client program installed on.

Changes Log:

Below is a list of the changes made in each of the updates.  These updates are accumulative meaning that changes made in an earlier update are also included in the later one, ie all of the changes made in version 4.01.02 are also included in version 4.01.04. 

 

Version 4.01.25

·         Fix – When importing Service Invoices into MYOB with the new ODBC Driver and error would occur.

·         Fix – When changing the Week Work Days on the Scheduler Setup screen, all of the week work days were cleared.

 

Version 4.01.24

·         Change – When an invoice is being created the system will now check that this invoice number has not previously been used.  If the invoice number has been previously used a message will be displayed and the invoice will not be created.

·         Change – JobsPlus will now work with MYOB Premier v10 and MYOB Accounting V16.

·         Fix – Invoices with a very large number of lines were not being sent to MYOB.

·         Fix – When entering timesheet details by single employee mode on the Timesheet screen, if the employee was changed the previous details entered were not cleared and sent to the jobs.

·         Fix – Check List items setup can now be deleted.

·         Fix – When there was only one line on the purchase order and this line is deleted, an error would occur.

 

 

Version 4.01.23

·         Change – The amount of information that can be entered into the Description field when entering a purchase order has been limited to 250 characters to ensure the complete details are saved.

·         Fix – Only one comment could be manually entered into JobsPlus from the Comments setup screen.

·         Fix – When the Receive All or the Receive None buttons were clicked on the Purchase Order Bill screen, the Totals were not calculating if the purchase order only had one line.

·         Fix – When the job number column for a purchase order was changed from blank to a job number when the purchase order was being edited, the part line that the job number was added to was not added to the Parts section of the job.

·         Fix – The Work In Progress at cost reports were not calculating the labour costs correctly.

 

 

Version 4.01.22

·         Fix – A run-time error would occur when a new line that was in the process or being entered on a purchase order was deleted.

·         Fix – The following dates on some job were being set to the current date when they were left blank; Date Required, Date Scheduled, Date Started, Date Finished.

·         Fix – When the tax code was changed for a line on a purchase, the tax total displayed on the screen did not change.  If the purchase order was exited and then reselected, the tax total displayed was correct.

·         Change – The ActiveX object used in JobsPlus has been removed.  An error number 429 was occurring on some computers. 

·         Change – Inactive parts cannot be entered directly into purchase orders.

·         Change – Inactive parts cannot be entered directly into parts tab of the jobs screen.

·         Change – Inactive parts cannot be entered directly into parts tab of the quotes screen.

 

Version 4.01.21

·         Fix – The Quote screen would sometimes generate a run time error after it was closed using the X instead of the Close button

·         Fix – The Quote screen would sometimes generate a run time error after it was closed using the X instead of the Close button

·         Change – The Edit button on the Employee Appointments screen is now inactive until an appointment for the employee has been selected.

·         Change – Removed the Time Billing invoice linking option. 

·         Fix – Sell Margin issue if job set to tax inclusive and part in MYOB had selling price including gst.

·         Fix – Sell Margin issue if quote set to tax inclusive and part in MYOB had selling price including gst.

·         Change – Parts that have been deleted in MYOB are now set to inactive in JobsPlus when parts are next imported from MYOB.

·         Fix – Runtime error would occur when an invoiced was edited when the Record button was clicked that was selected from the Reprint Invoice screen and edited.

·         Fix – The MYOB Import Log screen was not resizing if the JobsPlus screens had already been maximised.

·         Fix – Service Types could not be deleted.

 

Version 4.01.19

·         Fix – Repair Database utility run-time issue resolved.

·         Fix – Sorting the Employee Listing screen would cause an error.

·         Fix – Sorting the Supplier Listing screen would cause an error.

·         Change – New report that shows the amount still to invoice for a quoted job.

·         Fix – The purchase order template was not being set when a purchase order was created directly from a job.

Version 4.01.18

·         Fix – When a purchase order row was deleted, the line was not always removed.

·         Fix – When the job number for a line on a purchase order was changed, the change was not reflected on the jobs screen.

·         Change – The hours worked is now displayed on the Job Costing report.

·         Fix – The Detailed Quote to Job Costing Report was duplicating some lines on some jobs.

·         Change – The Report Filter screen now allows the job number to be entered for reports that allow a job number of to used rather than having to use the search screen.

·         Fix – Sometimes the jobs listed on the Equipment Details screen were duplicated.

·         Fix – When the extra search options were displayed on the Job Listing screen, the area that listed the job was not displayed in the correct location.

·         Change – The Suburb field on the Job screen has been made longer.

·         Change – The Suburb field on the Quotes screen has been made longer

·         Change – When an invoice was deleted, the invoice would remain on the Job Invoices screen until the job was reselected from the Job Listing screen.

·         Change – When a purchase order was deleted by selecting the purchase order from the Purchases tab on the Jobs screen, the purchase would remain listed until the job was reselected from the Job Listing screen.

·         Fix – The payment terms screen was only using the system date when calculating the due date for an invoice instead of using the Invoice Date.

·         Change – When importing timesheets the job number field can not be upt o 15 characters in length.

Version 4.01.17

  • Fix – A message was being displayed when information was being imported from MYOB into JobsPlus, this message has been stopped.
  • Fix – A runtime error 3075 sometimes occurred when saving a purchase order.  This has been corrected.

 

Version 4.01.16

·         Fix – Runtime error 13 Type Mismatch sometimes occurred in the Payment Terms screen when the payment term type was changed.

·         Fix – When the quoted price for a quote was overridden, the new overridden amount was sometimes not displayed correctly.

·         Fix – The New Client button was sometimes not displaying on the Create New Job screen.

·         Fix – The New Client button was sometimes not displaying on the Create New Quote screen.

·         Fix – Purchase Order prices were sometimes appearing on jobs as a zero amount.

·         Fix – When a purchase order bill was being deleted, the confirmation message was displayed twice.

·         Fix – When an existing invoice was viewed using the Invoice Details screen, sometimes the address was displayed on a single line instead of over multiple lines.

·         Fix – When an invoice was created the invoice address used was not the address number 1 for the client.

·         Fix – The Time by Labour Detailed report would not print any information when the a Job Number was selected.

·         Fix – Equipment Warranty about to Expire report would not print any information when the report filters were used.

·         Change – The entire part code will now be displayed on the Job Details – Internal report.

·         Change – The entire part code will now be displayed on the Job Details – Client report.

 

Version 4.01.15

·         Fix – Equipment can now be deleted

·         Fix – Purchase Order Part Descriptions with more than one line of description were causing a problem when being sent to MYOB

·         Fix – When a purchase order was deleted it was still being displayed in some reports.  Please run Repair Database process to correct this for purchase orders that have already been deleted

·         Fix – Invoice Setup screen wording changed to say ‘Automatically create the JobsPlus job in MYOB if it does not exists’

·         Change – New Quote to Job Costing Report.  This report is run for a single job and compares the difference between the Quote and the Job at a line by line level.

·         Fix – When the tax code for a labour task was changed when the labour task was used on a job, the incorrect tax code was sent to MYOB.  The amount of tax was correct only the code was incorrect.

·         Change – Ability to specify on the purchase order screen whether the purchase order items are to be to displayed in the Invoicing Only section or the Invoicing and Costing section on the job when they are transferred to the job.

 

Version 4.01.14

·         Change – JobsPlus will now work with the new MYOB ODBC Driver (version 5) and Accounting 15, Accounting Plus 15 and Premier 9

·         Fix – Address number 1 can be entered for cards with no address line 1 without having to switch to address number 2 and back to address number 1 first

·         Change – Cards are only sent back to MYOB if a change has been made to the card.  Viewing card details in JobsPlus will no longer cause them to be sent back to MYOB

·         Change – The name for a card must be entered when creating a new client, employee or supplier card

·         Fix – The email details for supplier cards were being set to the details entered into the fax field

·         Fix – The Job Costing report was not working correctly if the quote number and job numbers were different

·         Change – Additional search fields added to the Parts Search screen

·         Fix – The Template Setup screen has been linked to the security settings in JobsPlus

 

 

Version 4.01.13

·         Fix – When data was being sent from JobsPlus to MYOB, a lot of messages were displayed.  These messages are no longer displayed.

 

 

 

Version 4.01.12

·         Fix – When an appointment was created using the Employee Scheduler on a Windows 98 machine, the appointment was duplicated 10 times

·         Change – The date filters on the MYOB Import Log screen are not accessible until the date type has been selected.

·         Fix – The Equipment Due for Service report was not displaying the correct details.

·         Change – When a purchase order is created for a job that uses material margins, the sell price for the items added to the job now uses the material margins to determine the price of these items.

·         Fix – The purchase order template label on the screen now moves when the screen is resized.

·         Fix – When the Job Listing screen is opened of the jobs were being displayed even though the Open tab was selected.  Now only the open jobs are displayed when this screen is opened.

·         Fix – When the Quote Listing screen is opened of the quotes were being displayed even though the Open tab was selected.  Now only the open quotes are displayed when this screen is opened.

·         Fix – When the Job Listing report is printed only the jobs displayed on the screen are printed.

·         Fix – When the Quote Listing report is printed only the quotes displayed on the screen are printed.

 

Version 4.01.11

·         Change – Items marked to be deleted from the purchase order screen are highlighted to denote that they will be deleted when the Record button is pressed.

·         Change – The Database Location setting has been removed from the Settings screen in the JobsPlus Multi User Server program as it was no longer used. This option is set using the Register Business utility program.

·         Fix – Sometimes the buy price was being imported from MYOB using an incorrect tax rate when a new tax rate was created in MYOB.

·         Change – The site address details can now used when searching from the Job Listing screen.

·         Change – The site address details can now used when searching from the Quote Listing screen.

·         Change – The invoice reference can now be set to use the site address of the job.

·         Fix – The Service Due report would not print when a filter was entered for this report

·         Fix – The default template settings were not being saved when the default template was changed

·         Fix – Sometimes a purchase order could be created without a part code being entered

 

 

 

 

Version 4.01.10

·         Fix – When a new client button was pressed from the New Quote screen and a new client was not created, an error would occur.

·         Fix – When the Payment Terms was change to ‘A given number of days after the end of month’ an error sometimes occurred.

·         Fix – When a new Card was created the new was not always created in MYOB and appeared in the Import Log File screen

·         Fix – The Timesheet screen sometimes displayed the wrong labour rates for the selected labour task.

·         Fix – Purchase Orders ‘Open’ Listing report fixed.

·         Fix – Purchase Orders ‘Closed’ Listing report fixed.

·         Fix – Job Costing Summary Report date range option fixed.

  •   Fix – Creating an invoice would sometimes create a runtime error 13 when recording.

 

 

Version 4.01.09

·         Fix – When an invoice was created for a job with a quoted amount, the quoted amount was not always taken into account for the new invoice.

·         New – Created a facility to delete all unused cards from JobsPlus and re-import the cards from MYOB back into JobsPlus.  This will remove any duplicate cards that have been created in JobsPlus from a single card that is in MYOB.

·         Fix – When manually import Jobs or Equipment data into JobsPlus, an error if any of the date fields contained only a space.

·         Fix – When the date in a Date field (Dates Required, Date Scheduled, Date Started or Date Finished) on the Jobs screen was cleared an error would occur when the jobs screen was closed

·         Fix – When the Date Quote Required field on the Quotes screen was cleared an error would occur when the quotes screen was closed

·         Fix – The company name at the top of some reports was sometimes incorrect. (Multi Company versions only)

·         Fix – Templates that were created with a space in the file name would not print

 

 

 

Version 4.01.08

·         Fix – When new templates were created and the print preview option selected, there was no data available to view the new template with

·         Fix – The client’s name for an invoice was not being displayed on the Re-print Invoice screen for some invoices

·         Change – JobsPlus verifies that all of the required database files exist before attempting to open the database

·         Fix – (Single User Only) An error sometimes occurred during the registration process

·         Fix – The Invoice Totals at the bottom of the Invoice Details screen would disappear when the screen was resized

·         Fix – The Invoice Totals at the bottom of the New Invoice Details screen would disappear when the screen was resized

·         Fix – The Resource Scheduler was displaying some of the appointments at the wrong start time

·         Fix – Adding a new Resource Scheduler appointment would not allow a job or quote number to be searched for sometimes

·         Fix – Changing the ‘Print Invoice from JobsPlus’ in the Main Setup screen also changed the ‘Check Stock on Hand when Invoicing’ option on the same screen

·         Fix – The Find button was not repositioned when the screen was resized

·         Fix – (Single User Only) Jobs for invoices and purchase order bills are now automatically created in MYOB when the invoice or purchase order bill is sent to MYOB

 

 

 

Version 4.01.07

·         Fix – With the Invoice Reference set to Address in the main setup setup of JobsPlus, some invoices were not importing into MYOB

·         Fix – The New client button was sometimes not appearing in the multi user version of JobsPlus

·         Fix – The Supplier Listing screen now displays only the active suppliers when it is first displayed.

·         Fix – The Employee Listing screen now displays only the active employees when it is first displayed.

·         Fix – The Inactive fields on the Supplier screen was not indicating when the supplier was inactive.
