Jobs
The
main component of JobsPlus, is Jobs. A Job can be entered directly
into the Jobs screen, or created from a Quote. Once a Job has been
entered all the details are easily available, making it simple to
access the information you need.
The
main job screen is shown below:

Features
of the Jobs Module
The
job section in JobsPlus allows you to:
· Categorise
jobs according to the different types of jobs available, for
example, Project, Warranty, Service, etc. You
have the ability to customise Job Types to suit your business.
· Set
up your own numbering sequence for jobs
· Link
related jobs to a master job, giving you an overall picture of the
jobs in the project. Relating your jobs together will allow you to
split your project into different jobs which will give you greater
control of each of the different sections of the project.
· Search
for jobs using standard or advanced search criteria.
· Easily
find a job by viewing the list of open and closed jobs
· Create
a new job from scratch, copy an existing job to a new job or convert
a quote into a job. (Note: Where
a quote is won all the quote details can be converted to a job.)
· Assign
priority to jobs
· Enter
customised checklists
· Apply
discounts to parts or labour or both
· Enter
details (eg address, contact details etc) for both the client and
the site
· Itemise
all labour to be used – Labour can be listed by employee and is
detailed by labour task, cost rate, sell rate, discount applied etc
· List
all parts to be applied for the job – Details include part code,
part description, buy price, sell price, quantity to be used and
discount applied. Parts
can be listed for costing and invoicing purposes, or if you prefer,
parts can be listed only for costing purposes. This
is advantageous where you do not wish to display all the individual
component parts on the job.
· Apply
markup margins to parts
· In
relation to a particular job, view which parts need to be ordered,
which parts have been ordered and which parts have been invoiced to
the client
· Apply
service items to a job (ie costs that are not labour or parts)
· View
all purchase orders that include a particular job on the order
· Create
a purchase order whilst in a particular job
· Apply
overheads (eg payroll oncosts) to parts, labour, service items or a
combination of these items.
